Unfortunately, though, the ring was cursed, and Elain turns into a golden statue. After recovering a ring from the ship, he uses it to ask Elaine to marry him. As fate has it, he ends up blowing up LeChuck's ship, sinking it in the process. Shipwrecked after defeating LeChuck in Monkey Island 2, Guybrush wishes to have one last look at his beloved Elaine.
